The Billerica Fire Department currently operates 3 rescue boats. The boats are used primarily for surface water rescue and are dispatched from Headquarters on Good Street, Engine 2 in the North, and Engine 5 in the West. During an emergency, the nearest boat can be easily deployed into any waters in town. These waters include the Concord River, Shawsheen River, Winning Pond, and Nutting Lake.
